“Eight years ago after selling my banjo to focus only on guitar I decided to go back to it. Three months ago I contacted Daniel of County Banjo Company. I wanted a banjo made in Canada and Prince Edward County is very dear to me. There was still room for him to build a banjo to my specifications before the end of the year. Today I received my banjo and I’m speechless. The construction is perfect, the craftsmanship is impeccable and the sound is exactly what I was looking for. And all this at an unbelievable price. Daniel, you were able to meet all of my expectations. I wish your company all the credit it deserves in the world of banjo luthiers. Thank you for this splendid instrument.”

“ Coming from someone who has built a few banjos myself, and owns quite a few, Dans are high quality and pretty hard to beat for the price. I have toured and played many a big venue, using three banjos in different tunings at every gig, and I love my custom made arch top Dan made me. I sent him a vintage Gibson arch top tone ring, told him I wanted to use steel strings and have a wider neck, and left the rest to his artistic discretion. He stayed in contact the whole way through in the decision making and gave me lots of options. He uses high quality Rickard hardware, and hardwoods from a Old-Time sawmill on the cold water lake by his home. He ended up building mine with a flamed maple steam bent pot capped with walnut, a cherry neck with a Dobson heel a paddle style headstock and antiqued brass star shoes and hardware. And gold evowire frets, he also used a zero glide nut. He used dual gold coordinator rods for mine for quick adjustments since it would be touring and facing different venues and humidity/temps. It’s never let me down. I highly recommend his banjos, you can easily pay twice as much for a hand built banjo of this quality, and the fact that you pick the specs, leaves you with a truly unique banjo.”

“I want to share my joy. A couple months ago I received my custom made banjo from Daniel (County Banjo Co). It is a wonderful musical instrument. It sounds great and the specs and appearance are absolutely what I love about the banjo aesthetic. All this thanks to Daniel’s level of craftsmanship. Also I had a lot of fun during the ordering process. I asked ALOT of questions. And always got patient and professional advice. Thanks so much for the banjo, Dan! It is stunning and I’m really happy with it!

I’m so honoured to receive this from County Banjo Company’s Daniel Cassells. I can’t put it down! Here’s a little riffing off of Peach Bottom Creek that I recorded within minutes of taking it out of the box! Thanks Daniel!”
